Ledyard Rotary Club SOCKTOBER!

MALTA was the main beneficiary of the Ledyard Rotary Club's annual SOCKTOBER collection. This year's collection yielded over 1100 pairs of socks for men and women and children!

MALTA was able to begin sock distribution to people in area shelters immediately on the way back from the Rotary meeting!

Pictured is Jean Alberghini, Noank Community Support Services Director of Residential Services holding a basketful of children's socks and women's peds for the guests of their three facilities: Clift House, Churchill House, and Gray Farms. Clift House is a house for unaccompanied minors and Churchill House is a house for adolescent girls, providing short term stays of assessment and respite. Gray Farms is a longer-term residential program for adolescent girls. MALTA provides toiletries, nutritious food, feminine products, and other necessities on a regular basis to guests at all three homes. The guests will also be recipients of our Christmas Care Bags this holiday season.
